Operating Guidelines: These are the operating guidelines as of June 1, 2009.
Mission Statement: Our members pledge to conduct themselves and their business in a professional, honest and fair manner.
Ethical Network Group: We are a group of business entrepreneurs from the Golden Horseshoe Region who meet in order to build relationships for their companies through referral networking.
We are a semi-structured group where there will be a topic of discussion or presentation each time.
Representatives of the Ethical Network Group do not endorse any products or services of the group members. Rather, we are a networking organization whose purpose is to support entrepreneurs by giving an opportunity to market and advertise a member’s business.
Venue/Date: Ethical Networking Group meets on the last Friday of every month. Meetings are held at the Egg & I Restaurant, 1242 Hwy 53 West, Ancaster, Ontario, L9G 3K9. We begin at 9:00 am and the meeting runs for approximately ninety minutes. Members are responsible for the cost of their own breakfast.
Membership Fee: There is an administration fee of $25.00 to join the group, with an annual renewal fee of $25.00 due in January of each year. We are a not for profit organization – these fees strictly cover costs for the hosting and maintenance of our website. Fees are non-refundable.
Business Category: We value the format of one member per business category. The current member who holds the category will have discretion to determine if a prospective business is too similar to the services they provide. The group respects that overlap is inevitable and will attempt to be flexible for uniqueness. We request that you contact the member directly to discuss this.
Website: Members are encouraged to contribute articles, post videos and place other business related content to our blog. Free advertising spots will be provided for those who wish to participate. Structure: The group recognizes Shelley Saint as the original founder. There is not a formal structure for officers or elected leadership – we urge all members to participate. Prospective members, guests and interested parties are welcome to attend a meeting. Please contact Shelley through email.
Attendance/Commitment: Members will be committed to attending 50% of the meetings in order to maintain their business category. In the fellowship of professional, honest and fair conduct, members will be expected to adhere to the operating guidelines.
